Who Is M.E.T.A.S
Founded in 2025, M.E.T.A.S. is a nonprofit environmental organization operating in Puerto Rico and recognized as a 501(c)(3). Based in science and community engagement, we work to protect and restore marine ecosystems essential to environmental and social resilience.
Our mission is carried out through scientific research, coral reef restoration, marine mitigation, public education, outreach, and advocacy—guided by the belief that healthy ecosystems support thriving communities.
